STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — 7-Eleven has announced a beer delivery service at select locations across the country, and it’s coming to New York City — just not to Staten Island.

The convenience chain rolled out 7NOW, an app via the Apple Store, Google Play or Delivery.7-eleven.com, allowing customers to have alcoholic beverages and other items delivered right to their home.

While Staten Islanders wait for the service to expand to the borough, there are other ways for them to get a six-pack and groceries delivered to their door pending proper identification.

For instance, Dick’s Deli of West Brighton — 857 Castleton Ave., West Brighton; 718-442-4587DicksDelicatessen.com — can shuttle brews like Staten Island’s own Flagship, Guinness in the can, Modelo Especial, Victoria Corona, Corona Light, Coors, Bud and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. The deli delivers to most of the North Shore.

Craft beer mecca Holiday Beverage — 4569 Amboy Rd., Eltingville; 718-356-0100HolidayBev.com — will deliver a minimum of five cases (as in 24-packs) Monday through Thursday. Beverage Island — 1784 Richmond Terr., West Brighton; 929-369-0100BeverageIslandNYC.com — charges $10 a delivery with no minimum.

Meanwhile, the borough’s only beer truck operated by Flagship Brewing Co. of Tompkinsville is parked at Historic Richmond Town for the warm weather months.

And one further food FYI: The only things the Rossville Delivery service won’t truck around the borough are liquor and cigarettes. Jordan Berber, who owns the company with wife Paige, sticks with speedy service from South Shore-centric restaurants and grocers. And their clients, many of them elderly or disabled, aren’t looking for booze — just a helping hand.
